We Are So Proud of the Community We Have Created!
The Educational Philosophy of Summit Leadership Academy is a Leadership Education philosophy based on the book A Thomas Jefferson Education by Oliver DeMille. We also adhere to the Leadership Education Mentoring Institute (LEMI) philosophy of using classes for young adults which are called scholar projects. For additional support for the love of learning phase (8-11 year olds), we reference the book For the Love of Learning Giving Your Children a LOLIPOP Education by Amy Edwards.
We recognize the value of each phase: core, love of learning, scholar, depth, mission, and impact, and how they build upon each other. We realize the importance of having a family-based, volunteer community learning environment that supports families pursuing Leadership Education in their homes. We recognize that most of each family’s learning time will be spent in their own homes.

Summit Leadership Academy, though not sponsored or supported by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, has been established by Latter-day Saints and classes will contain doctrine, scripture, and references from the Church of Jesus Christ. Certain expectations of conduct will be related to the Church and the school will have a religious, and cultural element. Non-Latter-day Saint families may choose to attend and are welcome.
