PYRAMID PROJECT

1. Truth
2. Logic and Reason
3. The Characteristics of a Scientist
4. Newtonian Math (Measurement Skills or Language and Procedures of Math)
The purpose of this class is not to give a comprehensive math course in Newtonian math, but rather, provide an atmosphere where the habits of a scientist are developed: truth is sought after and recognized, logic and reason are developed, and the desire to study Newtonian math and the ability to do so becomes a lifelong habit. The class presents a holistic approach to math and science using truth, logic and reason, Newtonian math, and characteristics of
a scientist as well as the study of philosophers through the ages. By studying mathematicians, scientists, and classics, as well as going through a series of hands-on experiments, discussions, and workshops, the students will learn to think on a whole new level.

Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is "someone's capacity to be aware of, control, and express one's emotions, and to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically." Your level of EQ will determine your happiness in all areas of your life, your ability to maintain family and friend relationships, and yourself discipline to fulfill your mission. EQ is more important than education, IQ or raw talent in predicting future success in life. And the most exciting part is that anyone can improve their EQ skills!
In this project, we will improve our Personal Self-Management through creating an emotional vocabulary, learning perspective, empathy, resourcefulness, mindfulness, personality types and to control our communication. Then in second semester, we will improve our Social Emotional Intelligence through understanding awareness, reciprocity, ownership, boundaries and navigating conflict. The skills discussed will be applied to the most important relationships in life: friendship, family, dating and marriage.
